And a decade on from what has gone on to be considered one of the all-time great survival-horror games, we have confirmation from SEGA that work on an Alien Isolation sequel has begun. However, development is in the early stages, so don’t expect a release announcement any time soon.
Fans of the first game will no doubt be delighted to hear that Hope is set to return as game director, considering the cult-like status Isolation has gone on to enjoy since its 2014 release.
In a joint statement on behalf of developer Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA, Hope thanked players for their passion, boundless enthusiasm, excitement, and screams over the years.
