  1. Now that I think bout it perhaps I treated you too harshly. Back then I was too childish and couldn’t get over my prejudice towards sim games but lookin back I had a gud time with strangerhood despite it bein sims

  2. get off this channel now just gtfo because it may look like alot of fun doing this job it probably is but they have to work, edit, record, ect. and if you cant appreciate the fact they do that so everyone can enjoy thier videos then you don't deserve to be on this channel they pay money to entertain. the adds give them money they spend it to entertain the community. appreciate or GTFO

  3. Actually, YouTube ad revenue is calculated from the number of ads that are clicked. It is actually impossible to detect AdBlock in a browser because the ad data is still sent. Using AdBlock is the same as not clicking the ad.

  4. Well actually Roosterteeth still earns money with their website and their DVD's. But other youtube channels don't have any other money than from youtube, so yeah.

  5. he was saying that to help someone whos adds wont load so they cant watch the video. so its not like they were gonna get paid anyway when the person cant watch the adds to get to the video in the first place.

  6. Youtube can't detect whether or not the ad was played without a tracking cookie in the least, and those can be disabled in basically every browser that exists so they wouldn't use that as a gauge for who does and doesn't watch an ad. Multiple people have done their own tests with adblock views vs non-blocked views and found no diff.

  7. You have no clue do you? Youtube doesn't have to detect adblock to know you didn't watch the goddamn ad… Youtube only checks to see if the ad was played, if it was then it counts as a monetisable view, if it wasn't, uploader does not get paid. It's like making something that detects when someone pushes a button. Sure, you could make a sensor that detects the heat of his finger when touching the button, or you could simply detect when current flows through the circuit.

  8. Youtube has no way of registering if a person has adblock or not because of the way the program works, either way the ad is sent to your computer, adblock just removes the ad on your side. If Youtube was able to tell whether or not you actually viewed the ad they'd have to put some sort of spyware on your computer. No diff, a view is a view and either way they get money from it.
