There is a new title that you might wanna have on your radars, even if you’re not particularly passionate about indie games. Made by a debuting developer, Different Sense Games, and Lazy Bear Games, known as creators of Graveyard Keeper and the Punch Club series, this narrative-driven RPG drew inspiration from numerous well-recognized titles. If you have a soft spot for turn-based combat of Persona games, you might wanna start looking for a nice Bloomtown: A Different Story discount right now.

From the get-go, players are introduced to Emily and her younger brother Chester, who are supposed to spend their uneventful summer holidays away from their parents in a quiet Bloomtown. Don’t let the cozy atmosphere of the 1960s suburbian town let your guard down as peculiar events start taking place. Brace yourself for mysterious disappearances, battles with monsters, and… a chamber that looks awfully similar to Velvet Room.

Are there any Bloomtown: A Different Story reviews?

As of now, there are just a couple of Bloomtown: A Different Story reviews, so it’s too early for a proper Metacritic or OpenCritic score to be assigned. Nonetheless, the reception is pretty positive for now. The title is being praised for its delightful pixel art, outstanding soundtrack, and a plethora of activities to do, apart from the main story, such as side quests, farming, fishing, crafting, and more.

But the main crown jewel of this role-playing game is its turn-based combat system, which is heavily inspired by ATLUS’s bestselling series. Similarly to Persona, it includes a mix of melee and range weapons, as well as elements that determine the weaknesses of opponents. While some will appreciate the numerous similarities, others may feel like whole pages have been taken out of someone’s book.

What’s the Bloomtown: A Different Story price?

Bloomtown: A Different Story price is set at $24.99, which isn’t much. And in comparison with tripple-A titles like Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, it sounds like a good deal, but you can get it even cheaper. Multiple stores are offering pretty good discounts, with PC players enjoying the highest discount. You can save up to 20% on Bloomtown: A Different Story Steam key on Gamesplanet. At the same time, console players can enjoy a 10% introductory discount.

However, if you’d rather get the game even cheaper in the future, we recommend creating a price alert in the future.

Is Bloomtown: A Different Story Coming to Game Pass?

Unfortunately for active subscribers, you won’t be able to play Bloomtown: A Different Story on Game Pass. This may change in the future, and we’ll let you know as soon as it happens. For now, you can occupy yourself with the selection of outstanding RPGs that are already available on XGP.

Is Bloomtown: A Different Story Steam Deck Verified?

Despite sounding like a perfect title for Valve’s handheld device, it’s unclear whether or not Bloomtown: A Different Story is or not Steam Deck Verified. Right now, the compatibility status is marked as “Unknown”, meaning Valve needs more time to assess the product.

What do you think of this new release? Do you think it draws too much inspiration from ATLUS, or do you appreciate the similarities? Will you be getting yourself a Bloomtown: A Different Story Steam key, or do you prefer gaming on other platforms? Let us know in the comment section below.
