Historically, European bridges would have taverns and things in them.
Technically it's not a bridge cuz it doesn't bridge a naturally occurring gap. It's basically like an overpass a freeway overpass with a McDonald's on top.
I was screaming at my husband when I saw this, "I'VE BEEN THERE IT'S THE WILL ROGERS TURNPIKE THERE'S A KUM AND GO TOO!" xD
I listen to the podcast at work. I just finished this episode today. It was quite the fever dream
I live in Oklahoma and this is either the same McDonald’s bridge we go under to go into Kansas, or this is an entirely different restaurant.
Really positive he's referring to the Vinita, Oklahoma McDonald's Bridge. I live semi- in the area, and have gone to it on trips down to Tulsa. It's probably the shittiest McDonald's I've ever eaten at.
That McDonald's is in my hometown of Vinita, OK. It spans the Will Roger's Turnpike.
so just like, a highway oasis like in Chicago? you pull off and park and then there's restaurants and restrooms on a building suspended above the highway, which you can walk across to get to the other side
So many words fell out her mouth with that definition they had a few still stuck on top their heads!!!!!!
LMFAO!!!!!!!
That's so fucking BRILLIANT!!!
I've only started watching these but man, i don't now how long I'll be able to make it!
……This is only the second one and i already had to get on a breathing machine
Ayo it’s in my home state let’s gooooo
I love these
It's called the Illinois Tollway Oasis and there's a number of them.
Channel fell off lol
An oasis? Thats what ive always heard them called
I love non-Chicago people discovering the Oases for the first time. They’re really cool stops along the freeways. Sadly three of the seven have closed over the last few years
XD
There's a McDonald's bridge in Tulsa Oklahoma too
We’ve got one of those in Oklahoma lol
I used to live over there how did I never hear of the McDonald’s bridge in Indiana?
I got an ad for McDonalds before this.
I think I've actually been to that McDonald's Bridge.
I didn’t realize other states didn’t do bridge Oasis’ like that. Huh
That definition was kinda long. Could we get the abridged version?
Do you not have Oasis’s in Texas? It’s not a bridge. You pull off the highway to get gas and food, so they built a structure over the highway to fit restaurants and restrooms in it. It’s built over the highway so that employees can enter from either side. I guess it’s technically a bridge, but it’s just called an oasis.
Been there and was fun haha, i was like i know that place haha
