I've seen some people saying that the doc lacked bedside manner. There are times where you have to be blunt with the patient. Sure, we (as medical professionals) do our best to keep the patient as comfortable as possible, but if we know it's going to hurt then we're gonna tell you. Better to let you know beforehand than lie to you. I can't even begin to count how many people come to the hospital thinking it's going to be some kind of 5-star hotel. You're there to be healed and sometimes healing hurts … a lot.
As someone who had to experience something similar to this in the ER recently, it is……NOT GREAT.

Must be karma after all the people he whacked in the crotch with that pommel horse.
I think one of the problems was that he didn't do anything about it till a few days later, if he went to the doctor the same day it probably wouldn't have been as bad as taking 6 needles and lancing.

I went to the ER to have open surgery on my knee, after they were done my knee hurt an insane amount for the next few days, i went back to the doctor, they did an x-ray, the doctor had left one of the small tools for keeping the incision open in my knee when he sewed me up
They wouldn't have even given me a single shot.
So if he didn't have a kid, he'd still be able to have a kid
